Lawrence "Larry" Savarino

Lawrence “Larry” Allen Savarino, 78, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, while in the compassionate care of Suncoast Hospice. Born on September 26, 1947, in Tampa, Florida, he was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Savarino; his mother, Marie Carrodegua; his stepfather, John Carrodegua Sr.; and his half-brother, John Carrodegua Jr.
Larry shared many years of his life with his beloved longtime companion, Alice “Cookie” Sawyer, whose steadfast presence and love brought him comfort and companionship throughout life’s journey.
Though life’s paths created distance over the years, Larry’s daughters surrounded him with love, grace, and support during his final days. He is survived by his four daughters and their families:
• Melanie Park, spouse Joseph; children Christian, Noah, and Lauren; grandchild James
• Gina Singleton, spouse Chris; children Justin, Marissa, Adam, and Jacob
• Marisa Savarino; children Allasio and Fendi
• Nicole Smith; child Christian
He is also survived by his three half-sisters of Miami, along with extended family members and friends.
Larry’s journey was not always simple, but he leaves behind generations of family whose strength, compassion, and devotion reflect enduring family bonds. His memory will live on through his loving companion, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who cared for him. He will be missed and remembered with love.
