Kathleen Ginther, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, surrounded by her family at her home in Sun City Center, Florida, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Kathy was born on July 28, 1955, in Abington, Pennsylvania. She was known for her beautiful smile, big blue eyes, and kind heart—a reflection of her spirit that touched the lives of all who knew her.

Kathy’s dedication to her family was evident throughout her life, as she excelled in the roles of wife, mother, and grandmother with love and compassion. She found great joy in spending time with her grandson during his summertime visits, spoiling him with trips to Disney World, Busch Gardens, the beach, or simply having fun in the family pool. Kathy also loved her family’s yearly cruises to the Caribbean, where they enjoyed exploring new beaches each year.

Her favorite time of year was Christmas. Everyone who knew Kathy understood how she transformed her home into a Christmas wonderland. Decorating for the holidays brought her immense joy and happiness.

Kathleen leaves behind her beloved husband, Samuel Ginther, with whom she shared 36 wonderful years of marriage; her son, David Braun, his partner, Carisa Benner, and her daughter, Kyra; her son, Matthew Ginther, and his fiancée, Erica Parker; her grandson, Brody Braun; her brothers, Charles Braun and his wife, Donna, Robert Braun and his wife, Barbara, and John Braun and his wife, Donna; her sister-in-law, Christine Malik, and her husband, Josh; her sister-in-law, Donna Degan; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert O. Braun and Kathleen Bogle Braun; her sister, Margaret M. Braun; and her brother, Michael Braun.

To her husband, Kathy was more than a wife—she was his soulmate, best friend, and the love of his life. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who loved her.
