Susan P. Lederhouse, age 67, of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the corner of Route 769 and Route 761 in Arcadia, Florida. She was born on June 5, 1958, in Auburn, NY to Claire and Harold Bush. She grew up in Syracuse, NY and later moved to Port Charlotte, FL.
She loved working with injured or sick animals and would try to nurse them back to health so they could have a good life. Susan also loved outdoor painting, flowers, and putting out colorful lights.
She is survived by her husband Doug. She has 3 daughters, Heather, Jennifer, and Courteney. She has 8 grandchildren, Christian, Ariana, Joseph, Joslynn, Nathaniel, Sophia, Lucas, and Callie. She also has a great granddaughter, Lily.
Susan was survived by 4 brothers and sisters, Stephanie, William, Kenneth, and David. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sister Harold, John, and Cindy.
Susan was always known as a fun-loving person and would always put others ahead of herself. She loved the outdoors, camping, collecting owls, and collecting pigs. She will be deeply missed.
